Life lately

Quick Update: Since my last post my niece has made it home from the hospital.. Thank You for all the thoughts and prayers. The Lord used the wonderful people at Riley Hospital to ensure the best possible recovery for her situation and I couldn't me more thankful.

January in summation (the biz&life randomness):
Now to everything else, I love my life :) January brought 3 new brides to me in one week, that was amazing. Bev+ Ryan, Matt+Miranda, and Cara+Jason.. I have spent so much time getting to know all 3 of these amazing couples, I just can't wait to photograph their weddings this and next year! I am more than lucky to have been chosen by them to capture their love..

Sara and Alan joined my list of January Sessions..
This couple is very special to me for many reasons, one being that Sara has been a long time bff of mine, we have been close friends since the first grade. On the day we met for the session we also took a few family photos out at her Grandma's house in the country.. It was very bittersweet for me to see her family; a family I spent countless nights at their house for sleepovers.. I actually got really teary eyed when I first saw her mom and sister.. Time really does pass so quickly, my first grade best friend and I are all grown up, and now I have my own first grader who just started a new school and it so happens her new best friend is named Sara. Oh Lord, the things you do to bring even the smallest amount of joy to our lives!
Sara's Fam <3  in the front room of her Gram's house..Yes, when I say "on location" I really do mean it..

Lovebirds on the streets of Catlin... One very old but beautiful small town

My Bestie Vanessa who came along with me to be my assistant for the day! <3 her!
These two just wanted a simple session to document their love..Mission Complete!

Mission Double Complete
Showing Alan a pose, turned into a photo op for 2 childhood best friends. I am so getting a big copy of this to keep and every time I am down I can look at it and smile because I know I have a real friendship in my life, one that tells the truth, gives honest opinions in a compassionate not jerky way, and even through any disagreements remains loyal. To look at and see that I have always had someone to be silly, and smile with, someone who either understood my tears or did her best to try.. I love you Miss Sara and I am so happy that you have found the Ying to your Yang!

April and Garrett,
Another very special couple to me, I spent many nights filled with fun & laughter with these two and other friends. This couple has been through far too much in this life but still remain so sweet in love and so full of life.. I can't imagine why anyone would ever want to hurt them but I guess there are rude and evil people in this world that are only out for self gain, that like to promise things they never had any intention of following through with.. sad..very sad.. I can only hope that I helped remove some of that unneeded disrespect&hurt..
Sweet Candy and kisses

This one is for their son Wyatt

Get Better Soon Niecie Poo!

The other night we packed up and left to go be with part of my family. For those of you who don't know my young niece Katelynn has gotten very ill from a flu bug and was taken to the children's hospital in Indianapolis. The flu bug has said to have gone viral, and is causing some serious reactions to her system. However, the same day she was admitted we had gotten 6 inches of snow up here in Wisconsin. My Mom and Brother were both very against our 7 hour journey to be with them. So we made it a little over an hour out,  and this is where we decided to sit down, grab something to eat and really discuss our driving over there since we pretty much just rushed out the door as soon as we could.

We reluctantly turned back around and made it back home around midnight. She has seen a little improvement since she arrived to the ICU, her fever has gone down a couple degrees and she is looking better than she did when she arrived.

I just wish that I could be right where she is and just give her hug after hug.. Although even if I went she does have the flu so our visit wouldn't be as I would like it to be anyway. So I sent her a few gifts to let her know we were thinking of her, and she gave me a smile later when she tagged Aaron (my hubby) and I in a post of facebook saying "Thanks for the balloons and hello Kitty bear♥
kiss the girls for me! " .. Leave it to a pre-teen to be in the ICU and getting on facebook. Ohhh, I love that girl! I thought it might help me not to worry so hard if I wrote a blog this morning, we shall see.. Also, I have been thinking of these verses to help me in my worries

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Philippians 4:6

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding" Proverbs 3:5

Although it is very hard not to worry and I am probably one of the worst worriers, I know the Lord is here spreading his calming love upon my entire family.
I didn't take this original photo but I did crop it and make it into a card.. Photo take by: Lee Heafner (my bub)

I love you so much Dear Niece and I can't stop thinking about you.. <3<3<3<3 You!
