Ben & Shelley were this years winners of my 2nd annual Wedding/Engagement Special contest
view past details). I just get so inspired by love & life, I love
being able to give a little something back. This year I did away with
the random number method that I used the year before because I wanted to
read the stories of the people entering, I wanted to know more about my
couples. Truth be told however I do know Shelley, I've known her for a
long time & I actually knew all of my entrants so I felt too
emotionally connected with them so I decided it was best to use judges
to determine who the winners should be and the judges chose Shelley
& Ben. All stories were unique & wonderful in their own way but
when their story was read and their photo was seen it was unanimous and
one judge all I was told was "Those are your Winners right there, I love
them & I don't even know them, it needs to be them!"
Reconnecting
with Shelley over this time has been such a blessing, her & Ben are
such great people it's ridiculous. The great thing about them being so
great & great together is that they are completely surrounded by so
many loving friends & family that support them & care greatly
for them, there's no missing it. I honestly believe that love could be
felt blocks away from Medici that Saturday!
As I
looked around with my camera I saw & captured many proud smiling
faces, I overheard talk of how the guests & wedding party felt or
what 'that moment' was that brought them to tears. The most emotional
part of the day I felt was Shelley's dance with Ben's father, honestly I
could barely capture it. Shelley's father was literally one of the
sweetest people to walk this earth & I had the pleasure of knowing
him before he went to be with Jesus. I know for certain he'd be happy
for you both although I know Shelley already knows that :) The dance
between Shelley and "Dad Shavey" as Shelley likes to say was to the song
'Lean On Me' by Bill Withers which is a classic if you haven't heard it
click here 'Lean on Me Link' and pull out those tissues for the tears to follow, it was the perfect song for them to dance to!
So very happy for the both of you! Congratulations

My Favorite Image of the day & you all may think of me weird which is perfectly fine, I'm used to it ;)
This
image of the couple cutting their cake. I can't stop looking at it,
it's the way his hand grazes her with such love and care. I swoon!
