Failing but Winning| Couponing| Skirt Making & Birthday Planning

This is a total life post

hope that's okay?

I just felt like sharing some randomness about my days

&& a few things I'm up to

:: one thing ::

 I recently started getting more into couponing or really

saving money. I mean, I've always been

frugal I've never liked to just waste money on 

'expensive' things && by 'expensive'  I mean

anything over 10 dollars

It's amazing what I did the last few days I was able to get something close 

to 70 pairs of shoes for FREE with an online coupon (only a few for my girls)

the rest I am able to donate to those in need.

I also got like 50 -- 10 packs of hair ties for $10 (.20 each)
So, God Willing I may never need hair ties again (yeah right, lolol)

A few days ago I also got my ebates check back, ohh let me count the

ways I love ebates, FREE money! 

I don't even buy a lot online && that's what all my friends say too 

BUT

let me tell you, you don't have to.

If you ever buy ANYTHING check their website first

You just have to check it out, you will be so surprised at the stores on there

It's an amazing feeling so that's a total

::second thing::

I'm 'trying' to make one of those super gorgeous flowy

skirts out of tulle for Kirsten who turns 9 in 3 days

which leads me to the 

::third thing::

her birthday party

which I have yet to plan

I'm a total 

::FAIL::

at both of those things this year

The Skirt..

Well, let's just say I'm no seamstress

&& I swear it must take a billion 

yards of tulle to get that perfect look plus

I have meetings with brides && session bookings 

&& I still have to get my taxes done.

'ain't nobody got time for all that' comes to my head

GAH!! 

Good news is I still found time to blog about it all.. hehe ;)

It's okay I'll survive the week,  it will be glorious

I could use good vibes for the skirt &&

party planning though!

The Sweetness of 16

you might have noticed that

I'm feeling a bit 'Throw back Thursday' today.

There's a reason for this.

Today is special

Today is sentimental to me

It's a day 16 years ago that was a prelude 

towards my future destiny

16 years ago I started dating this guy I had a crush on

I still remember the first day we met

it was like the 4th day of school our sophomore year

I had just switched classes & was trying to be in a class with my then boyfriend

little did I know the boy I sat down next to was about to steal my heart 

for pretty much the next 16 years.

We met, we flirted, we fell into 'high school bliss'

as I like to call it.

We saw our first movie together at the Lorraine Theater (click to donate to help preserve it!)

The movie was Sleepy Hollow.

But the reason I'm writing is because he asked me out after that

.. I wont pretend I even remember how that went down. 

Of course I wish I did but it's okay.

So February 5th.. 16 years ago 

I started dating this guy.

Things weren't always perfect && they by far are still not

but I love this guy

Anyone that actually knows us will tell you

we are crazy

BUT for eachother

It's been this ridiculously crazy ride but it was after some of those peaks 

when on my way back up I realized

This guy love me

&& he realized the same dang thing at the same time

We realized we are each other's very best friend

I mean really. 

Think about it........

We know each other's worst habits, worst fears, worst low's even witnessed most of them

 We tell each other the truth even when it hurts..

We are there to listen (really listen) to each others frustrations

and best of all we defend one another

but even better

we have the nerve to tell the other 'hey, you're being flat out ridiculous'

I love that part, it's my favorite!

Aaron said to me a little over a year ago after some of our worst days

I'm not afraid to say that either.. This is real life people!

Anyway.. he said " I don't wanna be a statistic, I don't wanna be another divorce

I want us to be that couple on the dance floor at the Weddings... I mean we've already done just 

about everything to one another.. Why would we start over'

 If you know me.. You also know how private of a person I am.

I don't believe in sharing my business

I don't believe in over sharing love in a relationship

I think social media can be an awful place because I've lived some 

of the worst it's had to offer.

I dove headfirst right into it.

However... I NEEDED to really say these things

I need people to know I do love this MAN and he means the absolute world to me.

I'm so happy we took those hard steps back towards each other

I'm more than happy walking into my future with him by side

JESUS as my clutch/crutch/shield

Thank You God for this blessing of my life!
